Fampio museum
The museum was founded in 2005 in honor of Lafkiotis sculptor and painter Thanasis Fabas in order for him to be honored by his hometown for his contribution to Art and Culture.
Outside the museum there is a small garden which hosts eight marble statues of the artist. Inside there is an exhibition of his paintings, sculptures, drawings and portraits. On entering, you come face to face with the intensity of his artworks which lighten up and enlive the space. The artworks have subjects taken from everyday life of the residents of Lafkos in their everyday roles such as mother and wife andfrom their struggle for freedom. In his paintings the female form dominate so conveying the deepest emotions.
