The traditional cafe of Emmanuel Forlidas has been operating continuously since 1785. It was once a barber's shop as well as a cafe in the past. In that period the upper floor served as an inn and it hosted famous Greek writer Alexandros Papadiamantis as well as well as the pet Costas Varnalis when he was school principle in the nearby village of Argalasti.
